El Hierro is the smallest island of the entire archipelago. Its 278 km2 offer a terrain of great diversity: from the fascinating volcanic formations in the south and west, passing through the dense pine and laurel forests of the central zone up into the northwest to fertile land of the El Golfo Valley with vineyards and plantations.
